Our Criteria
We look for energetic, goal-oriented individuals to join our practice. Our professionals typically possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; an MBA or MS in accounting or MS in information systems. Additionally, we have various professionals within our tax and small business departments that do not possess professional degrees but have numerous years of practical work experience that qualify them to perform the necessary duties assigned.
Career Progression
As a professional within the firm, your individual responsibilities increase according to experience, skills, personal performance and, most importantly, your professional preference. There is no strict path to career progression, but rather a path that meets your aspirations while meeting the firm's needs. Our titles include staff, senior, supervisor, manager, senior manager, and partner; however, your roles may vary by engagement.
Work-Life Balance
We understand the pressures of balancing the demands of both work and home. We work with our professionals to determine the best means to accomplish such balance. We believe a professional takes responsibility for actions, is meeting internal and external deadlines, and most importantly, meeting our clients' perceived needs.
Performance Management
The firm has a formal performance evaluation process to assist with your personal development and career aspirations. You will receive periodic engagement evaluations. Engagement evaluations are completed by individuals directly supervising and reviewing your work. Your performance will be evaluated each May and November by the partner group. Each new professional is assigned a mentor who will meet with you during your first year to monitor questions and assist with professional progression.
